I'm so glad I'm moving out tomorrow.
I mean, you'd think they'd be glad I'm going and just be nice and well behaved the last week but no. Pav hadn't spoken to me since she called me up threatening to keep my deposit and try to make me pay rent til May. I mean, she wrote the contract and she wrote in all the stupid rules [which I have obeyed] AND she wrote in a break out clause allowing a tenant to end a tenancy before the agreed date if they give a month's notice and sacrifice their deposit. If she didn't want people leaving before the end she shouldn't have put that in. That was... January 23rd. And she hadn't spoken to me since [aside from a facebook message... she deleted her account shortly after so I couldn't reply] until I cornered her on Tuesday. I'd had enough of her scuttling away every time I come in or leave my room. I basically asked about my deposit and was told I'm pretty much definitely gonna lose it unless they find a replacement tenant in the next week. She also said that I must contact her parents if there's anything else about it because it's nothing to do with her! It should never have been anything to do with her anyway, the cow. The only contact details I had was an email so I sent them a big long letter about how I'd been made to feel unwelcome the whole time and was mainly leaving due to this, so don't see it as fair to lose my deposit. I also said that I don't think the contract is legal or that a copy signed by both parties exists. I've certainly never seen one despite asking twice. I've not had a reply but I think Pav and Chris know about it because Chris was quiet and funny with my last night. Then at about 9.30 they both came to my room and demanded the money I owe [£5 for internet that we got charged extra cos she didn't cancel it in time and £8 phone line rental because even though i have never used the phone, I do use the internet]. Then Chris asked for £15 internet money from now until August which is when my tenancy would have ended ordinarily. I was like ARE YOU JOKING ME?! After arguing a bit I gave in and wrote a cheque for £28. But I spent the rest of the night being so cross with myself that this morning I sneaked into his room and stole it back.

So tonight I'm hiding scared. I'm gonna try and plead ignorance. I hope the morning comes quickly!!!

On Sunday morning two of my facebook friends had their status as R.I.P Sarah. I could only really think of one Sarah, but of course it couldn't be her. So I looked at their friends lists and the only Sarah they had in common was her. But I decided it really wouldn't be her and was some other Sarah, possibly one I don't know. And that would be okay. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing to do or if it's just me but thinking it's someone you don't know makes it matter less and you forget about it. So I thought about it on and off yesterday and forgot about it. It wasn't til this evening that I thought about it again and checked my facebook. I had a message from my sister telling me that the Sarah I was thinking of had been killed in a car crash near where we live. I don't think it's really sunk in. We were never close but she was in my tutor group and I always admired her and thought she was pretty awesome. I found her on facebook about 8 months ago and got back in touch. She said we should go for a drink to catch up on the 5 years we'd not seen each other but we never got round to it. And now we never will.

Don't put off things til tomorrow that you could do today. It's just not worth it.

Happy new year, merry Christmas etc etc I hope you are all well.

I've had a proper delicious few weeks off from uni, seen a lot of my family and my friends, drunk a lot and laughed a lot. Not necessarily related. I have also received a rather huge amount of bruises from 1) winning a bottle of vodka in a raffle at the rugby and staying out 12 hours with it, Kathrine, my sister and Rossy's fit cousin Janine. 2) spending 4 days in a house with my friends over new year and at times being so cold I couldn't feel when I walked into things and 3) falling down at the shoot onto a frozen puddle. OUCHES. I have had a really good time though! And new year was really lovely, we went to Katy's (<3) house in Bristol and it made a nice change to not have to get dressed up and go out. I've done so much of that this holiday it was nice to be able to just sit around with the people I feel most comfortable with and not worry what I look like, what I say/do or what people think of me. And Katy is one of the bestest people I have in my life right now so it was super good to spend new year with her. She is also fit.

Uni things are starting up again, I'm going in on Wednesday to see my tutor as she has to sign off some of my work, but I haven't actually done it yet so that could be an issue...! I was kinda looking forward to going back to the flat as I had some really nice texts from Chris over new year, but today I had a facebook message from Pav which was really unfriendly. There was no how are you, how was Christmas etc it was literally just 'Do you know whan you'll be back in Plymouth yet?' It sounded a bit stroppy to me as I've not spoken to her all holiday, and she didn't add anything like  'it will be nice to see you' or anything like that. Then she just asked if I'd be there on a certain date cos they're having maintanence done and she wants another £5 off me for internet because she forgot to cancel it! She's a funny one. Not in the haha way. More in the WHAT A MOODY COW way. I just wish that some of my uni mates are in a position to rent a flat with me next year so I don't have to live with weird strangers again but they're all living with partners/parent/kids so :[

I'm bored now and so are you xxx

p.s. I hope 2009 is all that you want it to be

I haven't updated this in an age but I'm kinda in the mood now.
So I finished my degree in June and got a first which was really exciting. Although if I'm honest I would have been disappointed with anything less. I had my graduation in Brighton at the end of June which was pretty fun. I felt like a right dickhead in my gown and stuff and it kept falling off but here's a photo incase anyone didn't see the pics on facebook.

After that I went to Jersey for a week with Jack, we stayed with Chloe and Hayley and got to see a fair bit of Lucy too which was obviously awful. Lol. I ended up spending a lot of money [crazy golf, bowling, visiting the war tunnels. eating lots etc] but much fun was had. I was worried about money but the day I got back I got given work at the Thorverton doctor's and another surgery needed someone urgently so I'm helping them out a couple weeks too. Working 1-8 a couple days a week.
Thursday is the famous Mrs Hot Nurse's last day which will make me weep, she's moving to bloody New Zealand. Sad times indeed.
Sally's coming down this weekend which will be ace, she hasn't been since like April 2007. We might be going down to Newquay for a night with friends as long as the weather behaves.
I think that's about it.

So who even uses LJ anymore? I totally forgot it existed til like, a couple days ago.
I have been way busy with uni, in my final year now and I seem to permenantly have work to do, mostly reading. I handed in 2 essays last week so eagerly awaiting the return of those in a couple weeks so I can get some indication of how this year may work out.
Aside from being busy busy with uni I've also been COLD COLD COLD. The heating isn't working, I'm wearing gloves and I have a hot water bottle on my lap.

Girls Aloud are on X Factor tonight which is VERY exciting, Dannii Minogue AND Girls Aloud in the same show... I may explode.

I was quite sure I had all manner of important things with which to update my journal, but I really don't think there is anything of interest to anyone. I've been home from uni for almost a month and it's been wonderful so far. I really needed to get away, the house was getting so stressful and everyone was sniping and bitching. It's been raining pretty much every day since I've been back but today looks sunny so far!

I've been working at the surgery a few days here and there to cover people on holiday, which has been good because I need the money and I do still love that job. We have a female locum doctor working with us until August to cover Amanda's departure, and Jon is now senior partner. They've just done interviews to find the new partner. I've not met her yet but Mum has and she liked her, so that's good. We have a new secretary too, Beryl has retired. Her retirement party was at Donna's (Mrs Hot Nurse!!) and I had too much to drink. It was fun though! I'm also working Sunday's at Hawkin's Bazaar (which means I'm missing the KLP picnic this year CRY CRY). I worked there from when I was 16 til 18, so it's kinda weird to be back. Last Sunday was my first day. I forgot how boring retail is!! But it's money so I can't complain! My wages from both jobs don't cover the rent for my house in Brighton, but it should help.

Since I've been back I've been up to Bath for Emma's birthday and graduation, which was very exciting. I'm so proud of her, she graduated with a first in maths. I've also been into school to talk to the year 12s about going to uni which was fun, although kinda scary as Smithy (my old teacher! She is hot!) made me stand up in front off the entire year 12. Jem and Ross moved into their house a couple weeks ago, it's lovely! They're so lucky. I went to Paignton Zoo on Monday with Mum, Jem and Ross for Jem's birthday. That was really fun, although I was in pain the whole day as I woke up Monday morning unable to move my neck much. It took me 10 minutes just to get out of bed! Anyway, I hadn't been to that zoo in years and it had changed loads. There was a baby rhino!! It was the cutest thing!! When we got home Rossy proposed to Jem!!! They're now engaged!! So exciting. I was meant to go to London with Matt yesterday to see Tori Amos, then go on to Brighton for a couple nights to pick up loads of stuff I forgot. Unfortunately my neck was still pretty bad so I couldn't :[ I'm so sad, I've wanted to see Tori for years! I hope there will be another time. Today my neck still hurts but it moves a bit more now.

I think that's it.

Guess I better make a new year update.
Last year was a time for meeting new people, I've made some amazing friends and I really do feel lucky. I seems weird but it was only this year just gone that I met Han, Shuv and Dan, Laura, James and all the other people from EvUK. It was also when I met Ian, Teague, Laura and Matt from ES. It means that I should never have to go to a gig by myself now! I've made a few really good friends on my course too, and have got to know Daniella a lot better since living with her. We get on really well and she is what keeps me sane in the house. So here's to good friends <3

I wasn't looking forward to new years eve because I always find it disappointing. And being surrounded by couples when I've spent the year hating being single isn't my idea of fun. Luckily this year turned out to be pretty damn good. It started off with me, Jem, Possum and Jem's friend Ross M. I didn't really know Ross M much but was glad there was someone there to dilute the couple, haha. We just went round a few pubs, gathering people as we went. Possum's friend Catherine joined us with her friend and I got on with them really well, so that was nice. I'm sure the details will be boring for anyone here who actually still reads my waffle so I'll spare you. But basically I had a lot of fun. Although most of the pubs stopped serving by 1.30 which was a bit weird. Luckily we managed to get to the 3 Little Pigs in time to be locked in for drinking fun :]
Since then I have been to the beach a couple of times, been out with friends, met a friend for coffee and had a roast at my Nan's. All good fun. I have to go back to Brighton on Sunday which I half want to do, and half really don't. I have got a busy week next week, with a presentation and an essay due in. I'm not ready for either. January is a time I usually struggle with so I doubt this year will be much better but I can try. I was hoping to see Sally at some point but she's not interested so I guess that's out. But there are lots of people who are going to visit so that is very good. I've not really made any resolutions because I tend to forget about them if I make them at this time of year. There isn't really anything I can think of anyway... although I'm sure there are things I could change or do differently. I do think I should go to less gigs this year as I'm kinda losing interest in gigs and I really don't want to. This year I am mainly gonna try and enjoy uni rather than trying to get it out of the way. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly so I can go straight into learning to be a nurse in Sept 2008. Yay!

Happy new year :]

So on Saturday afternoon I went to London to meet lovely Lauraface to see the Cruxshadows. I'd only met Laura a couple times before so didn't really know her at all well, but that didn't matter cos she's actually great and we seem to have a lot in common. So yay. The gig was at the Underworld so we went to Camden... there were some horrors about, let me tell you! It was pretty distressing. Although the people at the gig were all pretty hideous, it wasn't quite as bad as I expected. We only queued for about 20 minutes then went in, and it was pretty empty so we strolled to the front. Which was GOOD as I hate standing around waiting. We could sit on the front of the stage when nothing was going on, yay.

The first band on was Trauma Pet - a ginger male guitarist who looked like he didn't belong there, a blonde female singer with a lisp (cute) and a bassist who jumped around like a mad woman. That was pretty entertaining. They were quite good, but seemed like they were pretty new to the whole thing. Next up were Swarf. According to Laura the singer either got fatter and older or they changed singers in the last few years.... either way she was a great front woman, really friendly towards the crowd and clearly a bit mad. Her dancing was fun. Actually, she was pretty fun in general. So that was good. Finally it was time for the Cruxshadows. The band all came on and started playing and suddenly Rogue leapt up out of the crowd and on to the stage. It was almost as magic as the Cheryl disappearing and reappearing thing that Girls Aloud did <3 They were fantastic right from the start. In case you are not familiar with them, let me inform you. There are two HOT dancers who do backing vocals and really exciting dance routines. There is a HOT violinist wearing a very short skirt. There is a HOT keyboardist who wiggles a lot. And the guitarist looks like he got lost on his way to auditions for a punk band. But he's probably the most attractive man with a mohawk I've ever seen. Which isn't saying much but whatever. And then there is Rogue the singer, who is actualy pretty ugly really but you kinda don't notice, he's very charismatic and exciting. He did lots of climbing around and disappearing in the crowd... at one point he ran off, came back with a bar stool, and disappeared into the crowd with it. I'm guessing he probably climbed on it somewhere. Laura and I had the hot blonde dancer (Jessica) right in front of us which was exciting. Although I was about 1 centimetre from being kicked in the face by her at one point. There was a really awful girl next to us and I think Jessica was actually trying to kick her, haha. Anyway, there was lots of dancing and smiling and it was a lot of fun in general. The only bad thing was whenever Rogue came over and stood at the edge of the stage in front of us...  I had to choose between having his crotch in my face, or looking up and having him sweat on my face. Yum. He did smell nice though. During the last song he dragged a couple girls up on stage, and the hot violinist came and dragged me and Laura up. Haha. Something I never though I'd do, but it was actually way fun. Yay! By the end the stage was full of people and security were having a fit, haha. Looking forward to the new album in January, I love the new single (which beat Beyonce to No1 in the US dance chart lol).  In summary, the gig was fantastic, Laura was wonderful (and hot) and I had a great time. Aside from the hideous crowd it was pretty much the sexiest gig ever.

Yesterday we had a roast which was yummy, I made lemon meringue pie which everyone was way impressed with. I was glad because it meant I was busy and not up in my room by myself - yesterday was my Nan's birthday party thing and I couldn't go, so I would have been sad if I'd had time to sit around thinking about it. Today I really really need to do a lot of work. POO.
